The Society publishes a Journal three times per year. It contains a varied selection of contributions from members, reports of meetings, information on sources of genealogical material, members queries etc.
During the second half of the 18th Century the Established Church of Scotland was subject to quite a few schisms by a
variety of heretical sects and non-conformist ideologies. Perhaps the most unique of these was the group known as the
Buchanite Society, a herectical sect, which had its origin in the Royal Burgh of Irvine in the County of Ayr on the west
coast of Scotland. .........
