The Annual General Meeting of the Society was held on the 10th May 2005.
Alex Blair was elected Chairperson for a second term with a number of changes being made to the Committee.
An increase in the Society subscriptions was also agreed and these are now set at Ordinary - £12.00, Family - £15.00 and Overseas £15.00
All the relevant webpages have been updated to reflect these changes.

Our Secretary, Stewart Gillan, has confirmed that Jim Grant from The Scottish Marine Museum at Irvine will give a talk to the Society on Tuesday 12th April 2005. His subject will be "Immigration".

The Rev. Roderick Grahame has confirmed that his talk to the Society on Tuesday 8th February 2005 will be "Minutes and Kirky Matters".

The Society is running a BEGINNER's NIGHT on Tuesday 18th January 2005. You don't need to be a member, anybody who is interested in starting their family history is welcome. The meeting will consist of a short presentation then a question and answer session. Members of the Society will also be on hand to help on an individual basis, if required.
The meeting will be held in Largs Library, Allanpark Street, Largs at 7:30pm.

Temporary Closure of Largs Library
Due to major refurbishment, Largs Library will be closed from Wednesday 25th August 2004 and will not re-open until Tuesday 21st September 2004. Unfortunately this means that our members will be unable to access our resources and equipment during this period.
Our first meeting of the 2004/05 session, due to take place during this period, has been moved to the Centenary Lounge in the Clark Memorial Church, Largs.
A full programme for the new session will be published shortly.
